Every week Farmer’s markets are held across the country. For most, these markets are simply a place to grab some seasonal fruit and veg for the week. However as more and more of these markets now offer specialist food stalls, gourmet cooking ingredients, fresh baking and warm drinks – we reckon they might be the perfect place for a unique date.
Arrive late morning after the keenest of shoppers have dissipated and you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere and plenty to explore. If it’s a first date, you’ll have the benefit of being somewhere safe and public with plenty of things to chat about and break the ice. Unfortunately the weather in NZ can’t always be relied on for an outdoor activity – if it is cold out, stay warm with a cup of coffee or some hot food to go.
